Van Nguyen and Hanh Nguyen are the drivers of CKC.  Van Nguyen is the Director and Hanh Nguyen is the main researcher and consultant.  They have post graduate qualifications from Australia and Germany and have established a wide reputation for their professionalism and the quality of their work.


Nguyen Ngoc Khanh Van

Director/Social Planner and Researcher

Van Nguyen obtained a Master degree in Social Science in 2010 from the University of Queensland, Australia. She has over ten year experience of working in poverty reduction, gender equality, education, and community development in the Central Vietnam. She has taken different positions of a manager, a community engagement advisor, and a researcher. She is currently the Director of Center for Knowledge Co-creation and Development Research. 


Quy-Hanh Nguyen

Senior Researcher and Social Planner

Key Skills:  Strategic planning, impact assessments, community development.

Hanh Nguyen has been an environmental and social specialist with over 15 years of academic and project experience in Central Vietnam, Central Highlands and the Mekong Region who possesses a broad background of international environmental and social regulations and practices. His key experience includes social planning and evaluation, social and gender impact assessment, needs assessment, resettlement and livelihood restoration, stakeholder engagement, sustainable community development, and corporate social responsibility.


Philip Thomas

Business Mentor

Grad Dip LED (Glasgow), Grad Dip TRP (Melb), BA Hons (Melb)

Key Skills:  Strategic planning, project management, grant writing, business planning.

Philip has supported NGOs in Hue since 2017 through his work as a volunteer with the Australian Volunteers Program.  He worked as an urban planner and economic development professional in Australia and UK and set up and ran his own consultancy business for fifteen years.


Huy Hiep

Huy Hiep holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Hue, Vietnam. He is currently a Project Coordinator of Center for Knowledge Co-creation and Development Research (CKC). His areas of interest in research include sustainable development, community-based tourism.


Ho Nhat Thanh

Key Skills: Project management, Finance 

Thanh holds a Bachelor of Double Major Degree in Agricultural Economics and Finance from Hue University of Economics. She has 5 years of managing community development projects focusing on disadvantaged regions in Thua Thien Hue province; and 3 years’ experience of organizing and supervising international language training and examination in the Central of Vietnam.

Currently, she is a Project Coordinator of Center for Knowledge Co-creation and Development Research (CKC).


Tran Quang Vinh

Vinh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Translation and Interpretation from Hue University, Viet Nam. He has 2 years of experience in volunteering and working with various regional and international NGOs in Hue. His area of interest in research is sustainable development.

Currently, Vinh is a Project Officer of Center for Knowledge Co-creation and Development Research (CKC). 


Duong Thi Lan Chi

Chi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Communications in University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). She also gets a certificate from a Global Studies program in Denmark. She has 4 years of experience in Marketing and Communications and has engaged in various community development activities for NGOs and social enterprises. Her area of interest is sustainable development, especially in quality education and human well-being.

Currently, Lan Chi is a Project Officer (Communication for Development) of Center for Knowledge Co-creation and Development Research (CKC).
