YEAH! officially kicked off the first in the series of its activities on 23rd September. It was an interactive training session on “Environment and Energy” with 60 pupils and teachers from five (05) secondary schools, including Dang Van Ngu, Dang Vinh, Phu Duong, Phu Mau, and Phu Thuong.
With the guidance of a Development Expert, the participants explored multiverses, including:
– Red Earth – The Earth affected by climate change;
– Black Earth – The thoroughly polluted Earth;
– White Earth – The Earth covered with plastic waste;
– Green Earth – The well-protected Earth; and
– Yellow Earth – The Earth with issues related to energy sources
to learn and explain the environmental stories around us and the process of building a sustainable planet. The participants were positively enthusiastic about comprehending ongoing environmental phenomena and expressing their curiousness and understanding ofthe impact of social development on our environment.
It was honored to welcome representatives from Thua Thien Hue Department of Education and Training, the Hue City Division of Education and Training, and the Boards of Principals to the training session.

The training session is a part of the Project ‘Youth-led Energy Audit in Hue (YEAH!): Small Changes for Big Gains to the Environment’ developed by CKC and funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Volunteers Program Impact Fund.

On 5 September 2023, after passing over 420km, CKC and ‘Cai bung no’ visited three out of 11 points of Dak Ring Kindergarten in Dak Ring commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, to present small gifts to 144 Ca Dong pupils at the beginning of the new school year 2023 – 2024. Over the last week, ‘Cai bung no’ was grateful to receive more than 1000 essential gifts – out of our expectations, from individuals and organisations to present indigenous pupils, with:
– Over 80kg of clothes, pair of shoes, and backpacks;
– 130kg rice;
– 378 pencils and 240 notebooks; and
– Over 1000 other gifts (new turtleneck sweater, plastic drinking cup, handkerchief, coloring book, eraser, sharpener, crayon box, clay box, instant noodles, fresh milk, soy sauce, fish sauce, cooking oil, canned food, and other dry foods)
The donated necessities will be brought to all 11 points based on the number and the needs of the children at each point.

CKC and the ‘Cai bung no’ sincerely thank you for supporting this meaningful donation campaign and accompanying Dak Ring kindergarten’s pupils and teachers on a happy school journey. CKC believes small gifts from ‘Cai bung no’ have shared the burdens and multiplied the warmth and happiness for the Ca Dong children and teachers.
CKC genuinely expressed our gratitude and respect for their devotion, optimism, and silent efforts in creating a happy preschool education space for indigenous children in the commune.





All transportation costs from Hue – Kon Plong – Dak Dring and personnel to deliver gifts to schools are covered by CKC.

CKC has accompanied the Ca Dong indigenous community in Dak Ring commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum provincesince 2021. Through more than ten (10) research and volunteering trips, CKC has followed the journey to the school of Ca Dong children carrying on their little shoulders worries and wishes about a full meal, a clean notebook, and a warm coat.
The donation campaign “Cai bung no” (Meal of Hope) aims to share the burdens and support Ca Dong children in the new school year 2023-2024. This campaign will be deployed at 11 points of Dak Ring Kindergarten in eight villages of Dak Ring commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, which are considered most disadvantaged, with 144 pupils aged 2 to 6. Over99% of pupils are Ca Dong and Ro Mam ethnic minorities.
Through this donation campaign, CKC hopes to receive support from individuals and organisations to contribute to a warmer, fuller, and happier school year for mountainous children.
CKC is sincerely grateful for all donations of necessities and goods for children aged 2 to 6, including:
- Personal items;
- School supplies; and
- Dry food.
In addition to the mentioned suggestions, CKC warmly welcomes to receive other contributions from you.
All donated necessities and goods will be directly presented to the schools on 5 and 6 September 2023.
